學院位于環境優美的龍洞校區。廣東工業大學龍洞校區占地面積600畝，毗鄰龍洞森林公園和素有“廣州第一村”美譽的龍洞村，歷史悠久，嶺南文化特色鮮明，擁有一流的教學、實驗、圖書等資源和優良的體育與生活設施，校園湖光山色，是一個學習、生活的理想家園。目前，學院在校生1,748人，秉承“博學篤行，格物致知”的院訓，專業特色日益凸顯，研究生和本科畢業生歷年就業率均在95%以上，深受用人單位好評。
Our School is located in Longdong Campus with beautiful environment,  covering an area of 0.4 km²,and adjacent to Longdong Forest Park and Longdong Village which has a long history and profound traditional culture background of south China,. It has first-class teaching buildings, laboratories, libraries and other resources and excellent sports and living facilities. It is an ideal homeland for studying and living. At present, the School has a student population of 1,748, and emphansis on great importance to quality education. The employment rate of our graduates and undergraduates is regularly over 95%.
學院擁有應用經濟學一級學科碩士點、金融碩士專業學位點，涵蓋13個二級學科碩士點，重點打造產業與區域經濟、金融工程、國際貿易學、工業數字經濟等4個學科碩士點；開設有國際經濟與貿易、經濟學、投資學、金融工程等4個本科專業，其中，2018級國際經濟與貿易專業（國際學生班）是我校首屆招收的本科學歷留學生班。擁有國家雙語示范課程1門、教育部來華留學英語授課品牌課程1門、廣東省特色專業1個、省級教學團隊2個、省級綜合改革試點專業3個、省級大學生校外實踐基地3個、省級精品課程2門。
Our school has First-Level Disciplines for master’s degree Granting in Applied Economics, Professional Master's Degree in Finance, and 4 undergraduate majors in International Economics & Trade, Economics, Investment and Financial Engineering. The School has 1 national demonstration course in bi-language, 1 brand course in English for overseas students in China offered by the Ministry of Education,1 Guangdong characteristics specialty, 2 provincial level teaching teams, 3 provincial comprehensive reform pilot specialties, 3 Provincial College students off-campus practice bases, and 2 provincial key courses.
秉承悠久的人文傳統和深厚的工科底蘊，學院吸收應用經濟學與其他交叉學科的最新學術成果，研究經濟學前沿理論和中國實際問題，著力培養適應廣東經濟社會發展的高素質應用型經貿人才，積極開拓進取，培育專業特色，打造精品學院，在教學和科研兩方面取得豐碩成果。近4年，獲得國家級項目10項，各類省部級以上科研項目60余項，到校科研經費近1000萬元。科研實力與學術影響力日漸擴大。
Adhering to the long humanistic tradition and profound engineering background, our school has absorbed the latest academic achievements of Applied Economics and other interdisciplinary disciplines, studied the frontier theories of economics and practical problems in China, focused on training high-quality applied economic and trade talents adapted to the economic and social development of Guangdong, actively pioneered and forged ahead, nurtured professional characteristics, and built up an essencial School. Our school has actively participated in scientific research and gotten meaningful achievements.
In the last 4 years, our teachers have initiated over 60 national and provincial research projects, including National Natural Science Fund Projects, Ministry of Education Projects in Humanities and Social Sciences, State Social Science Fund Projects and other important projects, with  research expenditure of nearly 10 million yuan. Scientific research strength and academic influence are expanding day by day.
學院現有專任教師54人，其中教授12人、副教授13人，博士生導師4人、碩士生導師20人，廣東省“南粵優秀教師”稱號教師2人、校級教學名師2人、廣東省“千百十”培養對象教師4人。有19位老師能講授雙語或全英課程。
Among the 54 full-time professional teachers, 10 of them are professors and 14 are associate professors. 3 of them are Ph.D. supervisors and 20 are master ‘s supervisors. Two teachers are provincial outstanding teachers and 4 teachers are members of the “thousand, hundred, ten” talent project of Guangdong province. 19 teachers are able to teach courses completely in English or in bi-languages.
學院共建有廣東省省級科研平臺-廣東制造業大數據創新研究中心重點智庫、廣東省人文社科重點實驗室-工業企業大數據戰略決策重點實驗室、廣東省政府決策咨詢研究基地-大數據戰略決策研究中心，是廣東工業大學大數據戰略研究院主要建設學院之一；擁有廣州市人文社科重點研究基地-廣州市技術創新與經濟轉型研究中心、智慧金融系統集成與創新中心、產業與科技金融研究與服務中心、金磚國家研究中心、企業社會責任研究所等學術機構。
We participate co-establishment of Guangdong Research Platform- Guangdong Key Think Tank of Manufacturing Industry Big Data Innovation Research Center, Guangdong Humanities and Social Sciences Key Laboratory-Industrial Enterprise Big Data Decision Making Key Laboratory, Guangdong Government Decision Consulting Research Base- Big Data Strategic Decision-Making Center, and is one of the main founders of Guangdong University of Technology's Big Data Strategic Research Institute. Our school has 5 Guangzhou key research bases for Humanities and Social Sciences -Guangzhou Research Center for Technological Innovation and Economic Transition, Intelligent Financial System Integration and Innovation Center, Industrial and Technological Financial Research and Service Center, BRICS National Research Center and Corporate Social Responsibility Research Institute.
學院擁有經濟學、國際貿易兩個校級實驗教學示范中心和智慧金融系統集成與創新中心，其中，智慧金融系統集成與創新中心占地面積約500平方米，總投資約1100萬元，涵蓋金融工程、智慧金融、科技金融、大數據金融決策等多個現代金融領域。同時擁有中國對外貿易（廣州）展覽總公司、中國建設銀行廣東省分行、民生銀行等省級大學生實踐教育基地，廣工深圳校友金融機構聯合基地、中國人民銀行廣州結算中心、佛山廣工大數控裝備協同創新研究院等十余個研究生聯合培養基地，深度對接業界需求，產教融合緊密。
The School has 2 university-level experimental teaching demonstration centers of economics and international trade disciplines, and the Intelligent Financial System Integration and Innovation Center (the integrated experimental teaching and scientific research platform of financial disciplines). Among them, the Intelligent Financial System Integration and Innovation Center covers an area of about 500 m² with a total investment of about 11 million yuan, covering modern financial fields such as, financial engineering, intelligent finance, technology finance, big data financial decision-making, etc.
At the same time, The School has students’ practical education bases, such as China Foreign Trade Guangzhou Exhibition General Corporation, China Construction Bank Guangdong Branch, Minsheng Bank and other provincial college students’ practical education bases; GDUT Shenzhen Alumni Financial Institutions Joint Base (Graduate Student Workstation), Guangzhou Settlement Center of the People's Bank of China, Foshan GDUT and CNC Equipment Co-innovation Research Institute, and more than 10 postgraduate student joint training bases, which are in-depth docking industry needs, close integration of production and education.
學院邀請國內外知名學者、行業精英進行學術講座，展開學術交流，大力實施應用型創新人才培養工程，著力打造特色鮮明的“一庫、兩講、五競賽”第二課堂，學生實踐能力、綜合素質和創新意識日漸提升。近4年來，我院學子獲得“挑戰杯”、“創青春”等國家級獎2項、廣東省金獎3項；國家及省級“大創”項目50余項；在美國大學生數學建模競賽(MCM/ICM)、全國高校商業精英大賽國際貿易競賽、“遠華杯”全國會展技能大賽、CFA協會全球投資分析大賽等競賽中均斬獲不俗的成績。
By inviting well-known professors (from domestic and abroad), experts and business managers to make academic lectures and conduct academic exchanges, the School helps to enrich the student extracurricular activities and to enhance students’ learning enthusiasm and upgrade the overall quality of students.
Vigorously implement the project of cultivating applied innovative talents and strive to create a distinctive additional course with "1 library, 2 lectures, 5 competitions". Students’ practical ability, comprehensive quality and innovative consciousness are gradually improving.
In the last 4 years, students in the School have won quite a lot prizes in various competitions, including: 2 national awards and 3 provincial gold awards in "Challenge Cup" and "Creating Youth" competitions; more than 50 national and provincial projects awarded in " National College Students' innovation and entrepreneurship training program"; Mathematical Modeling Competition for American College Students (MCM/ICM), International Trade Competition of National Business Elite Competition in Colleges and Universities, National Exhibition Skills Competition of "Yuanhua Cup", CFA Association Global Investment Analysis Competition, etc.
