College English Department

大學英語教學部是一支梯隊結構合理、充滿朝氣、積極向上、迅速成長的隊伍。現有專任教師35名，其中副教授13名，講師19名，承擔全校60多個專業140多個班級的《大學英語》課程以及所有《研究生英語》課程。

College English department, a team of full vitality, is in positive and rapid growth, with a well-structured echelon—13 associate professors, 19 lecturers among the 35 full-time teachers. The department undertakes College English and Post-graduate English courses for more than 60 majors (a total of 140 classes) of the university as a whole.

大學英語教學部重視提高教師隊伍的整體業務能力和綜合素質。通過開展形式多樣的教學研討、授課觀摩等活動，促進教師間互相交流學習，鼓勵教師積極參加各級各類教學競賽，成績卓然。近年來，共有1名教師榮獲“外研社全國高等學校大學英語教學示范評比”一等獎；1名教師榮獲“外研社全國高等學校大學英語教學之星（復賽）”冠軍；1名教師榮獲“泉州師范學院示范教學觀摩獎”；1名教師榮獲“泉州師范學院本科教學優秀獎”一等獎；3名教師榮獲“泉州師范學院教師教學競賽”一等獎。

The department attaches much importance to improving comprehensive qualities and professional competence of the faculty, encouraging teachers to exchange ideas through various activities such as seminars and demonstrations. With encouragement from the department, many teachers take part in diversified teaching competitions and achieve outstanding results: one first prize of FLTRP National College English Teaching Demonstration and Evaluation, one championship of FLTRP National College English Star Teacher Contest (semifinal), one award of QNU Teaching Demonstration, one first prize of QNU Teaching Excellence and three first prizes of QNU Teaching Competition.

大學英語教學部不斷鼓勵教師在教學科研中大膽探索創新。團隊成員共獲批省部級課題12項，省廳級課題16項，市級課題 10項，校級課題8項；發表論文 80余篇，其中20篇為核心期刊論文。2016年9月，我校《大學英語》課程入選“省級精品在線開放課程項目”；2018年8月我校大學英語教學改革項目獲批“福建省本科高校教育教學改革（重大）教改項目”。

The department also encourages teachers to innovate in teaching research. 12 provincial projects, 16 provincial level projects, 10 municipal projects and 8 college projects are approved and 80 papers are published, among which 20 are in core journals. Additionally, the College English Course was elected as the provincial Open Online Course in September 2016. In August 2018, the College English Teaching Reform Project was approved as Major Education and Teaching Reform Program in Undergraduate Universities of Fujian Province.

大學英語教學部注重課程質量以及學生實際英語水平的提高。全國大學英語四六級考試通過率逐年提高，穩中有升。此外，大學英語教學部還積極組織發動學生參加全國大學生英語競賽、“外研社杯”演講、寫作、閱讀大賽等。自 2013年至2019年5月，全國大學生英語競賽共有9名學生獲全國特等獎，57名學生獲全國一等獎；“外研社杯”賽事共有6名學生獲省一等獎。

Moreover, the department concentrates on curriculums and students' practical English abilities. The rates of students passing CET-4 and CET-6 are on the rise year by year. Besides, students are motivated and organized to take part in competitions such as National English Competition for College Students, and FLTRP Cup English Public Speaking, Writing and Reading Contest. Since 2013 there have been nine top prizes and 57 first prizes in National English Competition for College Students, and six first prizes in FLTRP Cup provincial contests.

大學英語教學部團隊成員正以極大的熱情和干勁、不斷開拓進取，大膽探索創新，力爭在教學管理、教學質量、科研水平和師資隊伍上把團隊建設提高到一個新的水平。
